We now have exciting opportunities for Junior Merchandisers to join the M&S family across various departments. In this position you will manage the product lifecycle from buying to selling whether that is in store, online or through our International business, putting our customers at the heart of everything you do.

What you'll do
Your key accountabilities will include.
- Working with the Merchandising team and Buying team to build the departmental plan and strategy to deliver sales, total stocks, GSM, markdown, availability targets and option count
- Accountable for devising an accurate long term and short-term department or range forecasts
- Regularly monitor sales and range offering to ensure commercial and customer aspirations are realised, working with brands to react and amend accordingly
- Managing departmental documentation relating to all sale periods including markdown plans
- Preparing and presenting regular business reviews to optimally drive performance
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
- Strong Merchandising skills including development of the Department Plan, stock management, creating sales estimates and managing GSM
- Knowledge of the end to end buy to channel process
- Able to fully utilise the relevant IT support systems, (Range Planner, MP, SSI, GMOR) and to be fully conversant with standard business desktop applications
- Strong numerical, analytical, and interpretive skills
- Ability to initiate and build positive relationships with key partners
