About the role
To manage all planning and merchandise issues associated with supporting the International franchise partners in order to maximise sales and profit through the effective planning and stock levels and distribution.
RESPONSIBILITES:
International Commercial Awareness
- To develop a clear strategic plan working with other senior members of the International team to ensure the appropriate type of stock , stock levels and timely distribution of stock is achieved
- Collating data around international promotional activity and translating this into appropriate merchandising strategies for each partner
- Provide Head of Franchise with regular analysis of sales to benchmark sales at any time for DI.
- Working as a senior team member to ensure the international business is fully optimised and processes and procedures are set up for success.
- Understand UK trade and best practice to assist in planning and trading International stores.
Range Planning
- Generate product range plans/lines buys from the agreed company sales plan as per contract and work closely with the International Buyer to ensure the range reflects known and regional markets/fashion trends.
- Work closely with Buyer to make sure the delivery schedule is achieved.
- Plan the range having regard for colour, price, size and other relevant criteria peculiar to the franchise partner.
- Ensure the range content provides adequate width and depth of offer in terms of colour, price point and choice to ensure the partners can purchase a credible range.
- Ensure KVL’s are adopted and in the right depth.
Store Planning
- Generate store grading plans to guide partners to ensure they fully optimise their sales opportunities
- Consider the turnover, space and store profile when planning
- Manage process of strategic locations to ensure sales are maximised.
Analysis
- To provide a professional insight for the partners regarding analysing sales/stock/markdown/ margin performance weekly down to line level and react accordingly
- Reforecast regularly to reflect current trends and react accordingly. Updating information where necessary.
- Ensure seasonal packs by region are produced to understand sales patterns at total/line level. Communicate back to team and seniors for future strategies.
Distribution
- Ensure the team works with partners to review store distribution ensuring at total level stock is allocated and replenished efficiently.
Team Management Development
- Ensure accuracy is maintained at all levels in the department
- To lead and develop the International merchandising team
Partner Liaison
- Effective & professional communication with all partners.
