Commercial Insights sits within the commercial directorate with an expanding remit. It covers the specialisms of competitor and customer research, digital and marketing analysis, commercial optimisation, and decision science. This is a department with big ambitions to put commercial insights at the heart of decision making within RS Group and that covers driving personalisation and decisioning across all customer touchpoints.
This is an 18 month Apprenticeship with an option to progress to a permanent position if the business circumstances allow.
This is a Level 4 apprenticeship, equivalent to a foundation degree and will set you up for a career in data analytics.
Main Duties:
- Work alongside the Commercial Analytics team to develop an analytical mindset.
- Learning how to use key technology to manipulate datasets to derive insight.
- Supported by the Data Analysts, understand and utilise analytical approaches and KPIs to help ensure stakeholders have sufficient models, measurement, and insight to optimise the customer experience and profit opportunity.
- Build a core network across the different stakeholders and Insight teams.
- Supporting the Data analysts to ensure we have best in class measurement frameworks.
- Support the Data Analysts to deliver key analytical projects across the business.
- Use data and wider commercial knowledge to support the Data Analysts to challenge the Stakeholders on their decision making and development pipeline.
- Leverage regular reporting to identify areas requiring further analysis and support on conducting and delivering this insight to identify and inform commercial activities.
- Support the Data Scientists to identify opportunities to build and embed key predictive models across the business to increase revenue, spot potential and drive future activity.
- Form part of a high performing team within the Commercial Insight Team.
- Work across key functions of the Commercial Insight Team including Competitor Intelligence, Core Analytics (Trading, Marketing, CX, Strategic and Digital), Data Science and Customer Research to gain a broad and holistic view of data and insight.

This is a Hybrid role so you must be able to work from home and either the Corby or London office. We are offering a £18k salary plus company benefits & 22 days paid holiday
