The Role Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Head of IT and our partners in the delivery of planned IT projects
- Looking after onsite IT requirements which are outside the scope of support provided by our partners. These may include:
- Installatins, moves and changes to onsite equipment
- Supprting factory and warehouse IT such as handheld devices, printers, and production line, packing, warehousing and dispatch equipment
- Patching and netwrk setup
- Prviding skilled ‘remote hands’ for third-party providers
- Acting as a point of contact for 3rd party partners and our users to log support tickets, monitor ticket resolution and assist in scheduling support activities/onsite visits for support
- Installation and configuration of WARP-specific software applications and tools; scheduling patching and upgrade processes
- Ensuring the security and integrity of data, systems and equipment is maintained
- Ensuring the IT asset register is populated, accurate and up-to-date
- Managing stock of IT assets, preparing and issuing equipment for new-starters
- Supporting new-starters with account setup and registration
- Support the leavers’ process and recycling or reprofiling returned devices for disposal or re-issue
- Maintaining comms rooms in clean and tidy condition
- Providing ad-hoc desk-side training to users
Knowledge Requirements:
- Experience in the installation and support of PC hardware and software technologies
- Experience of MS Office/O365, Windows 10 and other commercial grade applications
- Understanding of troubleshooting and supporting mobile devices (Apple/Android)
- Understanding of structured cabling, network devices, patching, and TCP/IP
- Experience of patching/upgrade processes (testing and rollout)
- Understanding of network/cyber security principles
- Experience of Apple hardware and software is desirable
- Experience maintaining printers, handheld devices, and industrial IT equipment is desirable
