- Assist in global trading activities in cash equities, sovereign and investment-grade fixed income and structured products, centred around RWM’s multi-billion-pound multi-asset strategies
- Execution of portfolio orders and implementation of best execution strategies
- Contribute to pre-trade market impact modelling, post-trade transaction cost analysis, market microstructure analysis and algorithmic design
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of trading desk processes with emphasis on execution management systems and trade automation, while adhering to a robust risk and control framework. Act as lead for the documentation and maintenance of associate procedures.
- Assist in the monitoring and oversight of the cadre of trading counterparties ensuring the maintenance of accurate static information and participate in periodic due diligence reviews
- Provide daily communication and market insights for internal consumption across the Wealth Management division
- Give support and actively contribute to the portfolio management team and implementation process
- Work across internal teams including Front Office, Compliance, Investment Controls and Operations to proactively resolve issues and queries
- 1 to 2 years investment industry experience, ideally in a trading / dealing related role
- Attainment of, or evidence of intent to attain, appropriate formal qualifications
- Strong Excel skills, ideally with experience of SQL, Python or other programming languages. Experience of working with Avaloq would be an advantage
- Understanding and interest in fundamental research processes and multi-asset portfolio management
- A strong understanding of relevant regulatory developments and trends
- Diligent and high level of attention to detail when working under pressure
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively to develop project and research ideas
- Willingness to work in a close-knit team with a long-term perspective
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- A curious and change-orientated mindset with a desire to contribute to both ongoing and project-related process improvement initiatives
