Pfeiffer Design is an established, multi-award winning studio specialising in high-end residential projects in Brighton & Hove, and the South East.
We are looking for a highly creative and skilled Junior Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in our Studio near Lewes, East Sussex. This is a unique opportunity for someone to flourish and progress within an established small business.
Details of the role, as well as a list of skills and attributes the successful candidate must possess are as follows:
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supporting Senior Interior Designers with all aspects of their projects
· Producing detailed drawings in AutoCAD such as joinery, sanitary and bespoke upholstery items
· Prepare schedules, specifications and drawings for subcontractors
· Souring and procurement of FF&E, soft furnishings and accessories
· Managing clients expectations effectively and proactively, reporting to senior management as required
· Design and develop comprehensive fabric schemes, sourcing associated samples
· Assist with the delivery of presentations to clients
· Undertake site inspections and surveys
· Attend site meetings and report back to Senior Designer
· Provide support to management and other members of the team
· Maintain and develop existing relationships with suppliers and foster relationships with new suppliers
· Ensure the FF&E library/sample areas are managed and maintained
· Attend supplier meetings to learn about new product ranges
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
· Possess a relevant interior design degree
· A minimum of 1-year experience working on residential projects is preferable. However, candidates just out of university will also be considered
· Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
· Knowledge of luxury residential interior design, bespoke furniture, joinery, FF&E and lighting are beneficial
· Excellent communication (written and verbal) and client liaison skills
· Able to use your initiative to manage your workload and oversee a number of tasks simultaneously
· Be adaptable to a challenging workload, and the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
· 3D modelling skills are advantageous, though not essential
· UK Driving Licence and use of a car is essential, as our Studio is in a remote location
