We are currently seeking a creative and enthusiastic Junior Graphic Designer to join our team at our head office in Stone, Staffordshire.
As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will have the exciting opportunity to work alongside our experienced design team and collaborate with clients from various industries. You will be responsible for creating visually captivating and compelling designs that effectively communicate our client's brand messages. This role offers an excellent platform for growth and learning in the field of digital marketing and design.
Key responsibilities of the position
- Understand and creatively interpret project requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to better understand the client's needs, goals and target audience.
- Produce wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas and concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
- Conceptualise and create visually appealing and intuitive website designs that reflect the client's brand identity and message.
- Ensure website designs are mobile-friendly, responsive, and optimised for performance, with a particular focus on accessibility and user experience.
- Present your ideas and concepts to clients in a passionate and engaging manner.
- Collaborate with developers and other team members to implement designs and ensure your designs are executed to how you envisaged them.
- Stay up to date with the latest design trends, web technologies, and industry best practices.
- Assist in the creation of visually appealing designs for printed marketing materials, brochures, landing pages, and email templates, (and more) as required.
- Ensure design consistency in design elements and brand identity across different platforms and marketing channels.
Competencies and attitude
- High level of creative flair.
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, etc.), and ideally Sketch and/or Figma.
- Strong awareness of user experience (UX) principles and responsive design techniques.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to translate client requirements into visually appealing designs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and explain design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and training
- A degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related field.
- A portfolio showcasing your design skills and creativity.
- Agency experience would be desirable.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
