L3Harris in Bristol/Burgess Hill/Barrow provides enduring, robust and cutting-edge Platform Management Systems (PMS) for both the UK Royal Navy sub-surface and surface fleets, notably current Astute submarine and Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) aircraft carriers, in-build Type 26 and Type 31 frigates - this skill set also extends into cruise liners and super-yachts in the commercial marine market. We are currently looking for a Junior ILS Engineer to support in assisting in developing, applying and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and Through Life Management (TLM) solutions for Hardware and Software projects used in the marine industry (mainly military). The successful candidate will obtain a firm grounding in the full range of ILS / TLM skills followed by more detailed training in one or more of the core skills to become an authority on these skills within the ILS / TLM Team. Please note, we also want to hear from you if you have alternative equivalent experience/qualifications (e.g. an Apprenticeship background). An understand or experience in a similar ILS/TLM role A passion for engineering, technology and problem solving The ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including hardware or software engineers, project managers and external customers. Good interpersonal skills and ability to integrate into a team environment Important to know Due to the nature of our work many our roles require a UK nationality and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
