Job Description:
Job title: Flow Trader
Reports to: Head of Power & Gas Flow Trading
Location: London
Department
Our Flow Trading desk manages customer flows and finds the most competitive route to market. The team use their in-depth knowledge of the power and gas markets to price the needs of our customers for location, time or volume, liquid or illiquid products offering market access and transaction advice.
Position purpose
  • Manage internal flow for power and gas
  • Assisting in fundamental analysis, understanding of flow markets
  • Working closely with Senior traders to support trading strategy
  • Generating P&L independently
  • Working closely with originators to develop new flow business
Experience required
  • A good level of trading experience in energy markets, preferably cross commodity
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Strong understanding and track record of effective risk management
  • Ideally previous experience of working within either a trading or financial services background.
Technical requirements
  • Strong computer skills, specifically Excel, VBA or Macros level
  • Strong knowledge of energy markets in Europe
