Can you bring a drive and passion for all things finance to a new career as Junior Finance Assistant at Pendragon in Nottinghamshire?
As one of the UK’s leading automotive retailers, we’re dedicated to providing an incredible experience for our customers, both online and across our dealerships. We’re looking for someone to truly make an impact and bring our vision to life, supporting us to transform automotive retail through digital innovation and operational excellence.
In our central Finance Shared Service Centre, we support our huge network of retailers across the country. With over 140 Associates in the team already, we are at the heart of company investment and continuing to grow. As we continually improve our service and introduce a host of the latest technologies, we are looking for motivated individuals to embark on a limitless career with us.
Our Associates are what separate us from the competition; the people who make a difference to our environments, our customers and their experience. As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play an integral part in the Finance chain, taking care of Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Credit Control and cashiering duties. You’ll be working physically from Head Office for three days per week, with the flexibility to work from home for two days per week.
What does the role of Junior Finance Assistant involve?
- Assist the day-to-day workings of the Accounts department, helping to process paperwork, allocate payments and answer queries, along with month end nominal ledger reconciliations
- Take care of Purchase Ledger duties, including liaising on behalf of our dealerships with suppliers and processing purchase invoices, in an accurate and timely manner
- Undertake Sales Ledger duties, including basic debt control and recovery, plus the processing and allocation of warranty credits and manufacturer bonus credits through the system
What qualities do I need to succeed in the Junior Finance Assistant role?
- A clear passion for a career in Finance
- Excellent organisation skills, with strong attention to detail
- The ability and motivation to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Great interpersonal and communication skills, being highly computer literate with experience of working with Microsoft Excel
Here at Pendragon, together, we’re unstoppable. Collaboration is at the heart of our culture, and it’s the power of our group coming together that unlocks our potential to transform automotive retail. We thrive in a fast-paced environment where the doors are open, if you have the attitude and drive to walk through them. We’ll empower you with the opportunities to bring out the best in yourself, and in return you’ll support and bring out the best in others. If this sounds like a perfect fit for you, then apply today and join our journey in driving beyond the possible.
Pendragon recognises the value that diversity brings to the workforce. This is why we positively welcome applications from all walks of life, backgrounds, and communities.
