Junior Engineer

Job Type – Permanent

Salary - £27,000

The Role:

The client is looking for 2 individuals that can work alongside experienced multi-discipline engineers to complete technical quotations and designs for manufacturing products such as passive filters, microwave components, Active microwave components (amplifiers, switches, mixers, etc).

Core Responsibilities:

-Gain an understanding and develop competence to be able to use key engineering systems and processes within own work and to support and contribute to the work of others.

-Identify key knowledge areas and agree objectives to increase personal competency. Including but not limited to passive filters, microwave components, Active microwave components (amplifiers, switches, mixers, etc).

-Work with other engineers and members of the Engineering department to complete technical quotations and designs.

-Attend and where able, contribute to technical reviews enabling accurate, timely knowledge sharing and problem resolution.

-Attend and where able, contribute to design for manufacturing reviews with Production colleagues enabling accurate, timely knowledge sharing and problem resolution.

-Contribute to and complete assigned personal projects and projects for other engineering team members.

-Complete assigned data analysis and input responsibilities, preparing reports and making recommendations as appropriate.

-Develop and maintain other department and value stream relationships to support overall site delivery.

Every day will be different, and your key responsibilities will include:

- Developing competence to use key engineering systems and processes.

- Working with others to complete technical quotations and designs.

- Attend and contributing to technical and design for manufacturing reviews.

- Contributing to assigned personal and projects for other engineers.

- Completing data analysis and input and preparing reports.

To be successful, you’ll ideally have:

- A degree in an electronics or electrical engineering background.

- Work experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment, including:

- In a team environment to complete projects.

- Researching topics, writing reports and making recommendations.

- Analysis and problem solving, meeting defined engineering goals, with a proactive, “can do,” attitude.

- Engineering component design.

- Make positive teamwork contributions to deliver continuous improvement and meet demanding targets.
