Job description
The role
HTSI, the Financial Times multi award-winning luxury lifestyle magazine, is looking for an ambitious Junior Editorial Assistant to assist with fact checking, social media, office admin and the day-to-day running of the magazine. There will also be opportunities for pitching and writing articles for print and online.
The team currently publishes 38 Saturday magazines a year as well as original weekly online content. We're looking for someone with a love of the diverse topics covered by the magazine; who is a proficient multi-tasker; has a keen eye for detail; and who will throw themselves into all levels of production, with enthusiasm.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract position. Whilst conversion to a permanent role within FT Editorial is a possibility, it is not guaranteed.
Key responsibilities:
Fact checking regular columns, short features and web stories
Co-managing HTSI's Facebook and Twitter accounts - including scheduling posts created by our editorial team, and monitoring online conversations and overall social media performance
Processing contributor invoices
Magazine admin, including sending PDFs to contributors, monitoring HTSI's telephone line, managing department post and recording the most popular stories
Your skills:
Organised and efficient
Confident and happy to get stuck into a range of tasks
An exemplary eye for detail
Previous exposure to an editorial features department gained through work experience, an internship or equivalent
A proven interest in topics covered by HTSI
Demonstrable social media expertise

How we work
Our hybrid setup means staff are expected to come into the office 3 days a week.
Our office is located across the street from St. Paul's Cathedral and is easily accessible from all corners of London. There are the main train terminals such as Liverpool Street, Moorgate, Blackfriars, City Thameslink or Waterloo all situated within walking distance or there are several tube stations within a few mins walk such as Mansion House (District or Circle line), St. Paul's (Central line), Bank (Central or Waterloo & City line) or Barbican (Central, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitan lines).
