Wood Mackenzie has an exciting opportunity for a junior digital marketer to join a fast-paced, dynamic global business to support our multi-channel digital strategy aimed at driving audience growth, engagement and supporting in driving demand and lead generation across key digital channels.
This role reports to our Senior Digital Marketing Manager and forms part of a Global team that has responsibility for covering SEO, Analytics, Social Media, and Paid Media and this role seeks to support the delivery of key BAU activities as well as providing campaign and project support.
Role Purpose
As a key role in our digital marketing team, you will be responsible for supporting our wider global marketing team in the development, implementation, tracking, and optimisation of digital marketing campaigns across various channels. You will work closely with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, working closely with our digital channel specialists, plus a range of marketers spanning content, regional campaigns, ABM and events to ensure campaigns and digital tactics are delivered on time.
Main Responsibilities
The individual in this role will use their breadth of digital marketing knowledge and skills to:
- Owning creation and supporting delivery of key awareness and lead generation campaigns owned by the digital team
- Assist the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and the wider global marketing teams with planning and delivering digital elements of their campaigns
- Supporting delivery of our monthly digital channel and content reports
- Supporting creation and delivery of monthly campaign reports for our global campaigns and contribute to identifying areas for improvement
- Supporting with keyword research and on-page optimisations for SEO
- Ongoing competitor research across digital channels
- Conduct regular industry research to stay current on digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices, and share findings with the team.
- Adhoc support for social media initiatives working with the social team.
- Support with monthly budget tracking and reporting
- Support with the development and optimisation of website campaign pages including support on A/B testing and reporting working with web and analytics
About You and How You Can Excel in this Role
To be successful in this role you’ll be a self-starting digital marketing professional, preferably with experience across a range of digital channels. You’ll be able to develop engaging and effective campaigns to attract and engage new potential customers. For this position, it’s also essential to be up-to-date with new technologies and emerging trends. It will be beneficial (but not essential) if you have some knowledge of the natural resources, energy & commodity markets.
You will have:
- Experience in a digital marketing role
- The ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions/optimise campaigns

Ideally with broad digital experience such as
- Digital marketing campaign management
- Social media tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram
- Google Analytics experience (GA4 exposure preferred but not essential)
- Basic SEO understanding
- Understanding of A/B testing and analysing results
- CMS systems, Salesforce/Pardot
- Ideally experience of working with external suppliers and agencies
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively & drive innovation
- Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools
- Project management skills and attention to detail
- Experience of working within a B2B environment
- Experience of digital marketing ideally in a global business although not essential
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to influence and engage peers
- Highly evolved communication skills and an ability to translate technical information into business language

- We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment, but this may be subject to change in the future.
