SO, WHAT’S THE STORY?
Based in our Camden HQ, our Marketing Creative Team is a function of the Global Marketing department and provides an in-house design, artworking and asset creation resource for the Dr. Martens brand.
The role of the Marketing Creative team is to work in collaboration with the Global Brand team, Consumer Marketing team and selected agencies to help deliver seasonal campaigns and product marketing assets across all consumer touchpoints, ensuring that the brand look and feel is consistent and of the highest standard.
THE GIG
Reporting to the Digital Design Lead our Junior Digital Designer will work on a wide variety of graphic design projects across all Dr. Martens digital channels. This includes but is not limited to digital brand comms, ecommerce marketing and social media.
As our Junior Digital Designer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and producing digital designs and templates for our .com websites, responsive emails, homepage and landing/splash pages, and digital ad designs for third party sites
- Transforming initial page/site maps to wireframes, and then executing into a final design
- Developing innovative ways to bring brand storytelling to life on our digital channels
- Continually driving forward our product marketing activity through creative execution for an inspiring 360 consumer experience
- Working closely with our regional teams to ensure consistency in designs and content across all drmartens.com sites globally
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART
Put simply, for this role the key things we’re looking for are:
- Commercial digital design experience, ideally for a similar global brand, retailer or agency working with such clients.
- A strong design portfolio demonstrating the above along with passion projects
- A clear mobile-first approach with the ability to push creative boundaries
- The ability to work to and champion our brand guidelines and excellent knowledge and experience of digital platform
- Skilled in UI design software like Sketch/Adobe XD (or similar) and knowlage of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illusrator) and Figma
- A strong understanding of and genuine interest in the fashion and retail industries and appreciation of music, arts and culture
