Job description
We are looking for a self-motivated Linux/DevOps Engineer who will build, test, and maintain our infrastructure and deployment tools as well as collaborate with other team members to develop automation strategies, deployment processes and development environments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide ways to improve stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of our environments.
- Proactively monitor system performance and capacity planning
- Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
- Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies, deployment processes and development environments
Skills Required:
- Previous working experience as a Linux sysadmin/DevOps Engineer for (2+) years
- Good knowledge of Linux systems such as Debian, Ubuntu
- Good knowledge of Apache2 webserver
- Good knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS
- Knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Travis CI etc
- Scripting or programming skills for automating tasks (Shell, Ruby, Python)
- Experience with Configuration tools: Chef, Puppet etc
- Experience with monitoring stacks like New Relic, Nagios etc
- Knowledge and experience with Software Version Control systems: GITHub etc
- Familiarity with networking architecture (e.g. Load Balancing, TCP/IP, Routing)
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
