Job description

Responsibilities

  • Design and code simple programs and scripts under the supervision of others from supplied specifications or user stories using agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result and as part of a wider team contribute to the design of components on larger systems;
  • Carry out unit and integration testing on your work;
  • Document all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate;
  • Carry out simple fault and defect diagnosis and provide fixes on defects raised by system testers;
  • Collaborate in reviews of work with others as appropriate.

Essential Criteria


1. Working knowledge of programming languages such as angular, java, javascript, HTML, CSS, PL-SQL and knowledge of relational databases;
2. Working knowledge of a UNIX operating system;
3. Awareness of build and deployment processes and working knowledge in using code repositories such as GIT and SVN;
4. Awareness of the full Systems Development lifecycle including awareness of System Development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
