JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY
Work within the delivery team and in accordance with company procedures to provide code, test, debug and document programs for relatively straightforward or small projects or to assist other programmers or analysts on more complex projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
These responsibilities must always be undertaken and carried out in accordance with current company policy and due to the changing nature of our business your job description will inevitably change. You will, occasionally be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.
SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
· Undertake software development for customers utilizing company software development standards throughout the entire process
· Correctly manage all software development work through the version control system
· Highlight and help resolve customer issues to the mutual benefit of the company and the customer
· With customer/analyst agree, monitor and meet timescales for all projects undertaken
· Thoroughly unit test all software prior to release to the analyst
· Thoroughly system test prior to release where appropriate
REVENUE GENERATION
· Actively seek and promote revenue opportunities and highlight to the relevant Chess persons
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
· To be available for the early/late support rota as required
· To ensure company time is spent in an efficient and effective manner
· To ensure all work is carried out to the highest possible level of quality
· To take support calls on behalf of the delivery team for (a) customers who request to speak directly and (b) to cover for absences and other support resource issues
· Develop personal skills and capabilities through on-going training
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
