An exciting opportunity has become available with our prestigious client who is a prominent government department. The client is seeking an experienced Junior Developer to join their welcoming team. As a Junior Developer, you will be supporting the government department by developing interfaces to improve business requirements.
The Junior Developer Role:
- Responsible for developing interfaces using PERL
- To ensure that various testing is carried out (unit, system, integration) on new/enhanced batch/API
- To use test scripts to pin point and review progress
- To create and maintain various resources (specifications/test plans)
- To be a part of the interface/scripts user testing
- To provide solutions of interface testing/data problems issues
What the Junior Developer will Need:
- Strong experience of PERL/scripting languages (eg. C++/Python)
- Good knowledge of regular expressions
- Good working knowledge of the current standards in API/authentication methodologies
- Good Cloud platforms experience (eg. AWS/Azure)
- Good working knowledge of Web development standards (HTML5, CSS, JQuery/Javascript)
- Good knowledge of markup languages (XML/JSON/YAML)
- Unix system management experience as well as data structures/security procedures
- Agile/DevOps experience
- Good knowledge of IT development/testing strategies
- Experience with Implementation of software
