Purpose of Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and passionate junior designer with specialism in brand and digital to join our growing Cult Beauty creative team. The junior designer will be the champion of our brand aesthetic, creating innovative visual content across multiple channels that will engage and inspire our customer. You must be digital first, with an excellent understanding of digital design and a passion for customer experience. You will work closely with the marketing communications team to execute daily onsite content – homepage, emails, landing pages and blogs as well as create content in line with our trading calendar
to support sales growth. You will act as a brand guardian by maintaining brand tone, standards and style on all designs. This is a great opportunity to grow and develop with a top beauty retailer
Who you are:
This role requires a highly organised person, who is a versatile designer with excellent communication skills, to be responsible for our look and feel on site. Our ideal candidate is someone who can bring enthusiasm, creativity and innovation to the role. The successful candidate will need to thrive working to tight deadlines and in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Digital design – visual design across site, creating homepage banners, weekly emails, and landing pages for all campaigns and manage onsite content through our CMS.
- You will deliver creative visual assets, digital static and some motion design that brings our brand to life.
- Design compelling social layouts to support social messaging.
- Print – create marketing materials such as booklets and flyers for our PR, influencer and affiliates teams.
- Generate creative concepts and execute to different deliverables for seasonal promotions/products. Presenting finalised ideas to Senior Designers and Creative Lead
- Branding – you will work with the Creative Lead on evolving the brand identity through the creation of digital assets and will be responsible for the up-keep of brand guidelines, sales packs, external/internal presentations and creative internal assets for the company
Must haves:
- Proven experience in designing concepts for digital, web and email design
- Experience as a junior designer, ready to hit the ground running
- A creative thinker, with a love of producing new ideas and concepts.
- An excellent communicator, you will be able to present your ideas clearly
- Expert experience with Adobe creative cloud
- Strong knowledge of typography, colour and layout
- Some knowledge of UI and UX design is a plus
- Experience of aftereffects and video editing software a plus
- You must be able to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines with attention to detail
- Must have strong organisational and scheduling skills
