The Role
You will be joining our growing data solutions team as a junior data engineer, reporting to the Data Solutions Director. Our ever expanding team exists to drive innovative data strategies to drive growth for our clients. Our team is looking for someone with an interest in data, with a proactive and positive attitude. With this opportunity, you will have exposure to a large variety of projects and opportunities at an established company and processes.
This role revolves around supporting the data solutions team; providing assistance in maintaining and upgrading our existing data pipeline projects, helping scope out and design new projects with clients, and being available to help with any smaller technical and data issues that arise across the business. This is a great role for someone who is looking to learn and gain professional experience in data whilst honing their client skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Mapping and blending data from a variety of sources
- Utilising that data to build new dashboards
- Understanding client requirements and designing and building solutions through data to solve them
Key skills
- Basic understanding of SQL
- Interest in a career in data
- Eager to learn
Highly Advantageous
- Advanced SQL
- Data visualisation experience
- Client experience
Knowledge of any of the following will earn you extra credit (but are strictly 'nice to haves'. You'll get ample opportunity to learn):
- Client experience
- Google Cloud Platform (especially BigQuery and Data Studio)
- Any other coding skills
