The role
The opportunity to help customers improve care through insights from our data is huge. As a Data Analyst & Engineer, you will be a key part of the Data and Insights team that are capturing this opportunity, as well as providing value to internal business functions through data. You will help develop and expand Oxehealth’s data assets, collaborating with your Data and Insights colleagues to generate insights from data.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining data systems
- Developing the data pipeline to ingest new data sources
- Developing data validation and acceptance tests
- Producing dashboard and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop BI reports, optimising data models to facilitate BI reporting where necessary
- Working with internal data source owners within the company to ensure data quality and meet reporting requirements
- Delivering data accurately and efficiently upon ad-hoc requests from team members or customers
We are not expecting you to independently develop our data systems and pipeline immediately - you will initially work on tasks collaboratively to support your learning and familiarity with our systems. In addition, we offer staff training budgets to support your development.
What we’re looking for:
- A Graduate with a degree (2.1 or above) in a STEM subject (or equivalent)
- 1+ years experience with a programing language (preferably: Python)
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities, preferably with statistical skills
- Experience working with data and generating insights
- Independent, self-motivated and able to show initiative
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with all levels of the organisation
- Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK
Desirable but not essential:
- Knowledge of Linux based operating systems
- Experience with data validation and testing tools/processes
- Experience working with SQL (or equivalent)
- Experience in BI tools - Tableau / Power BI / Looker
- Experience in data warehousing - Snowflake / Redshift / BigQuery
- Knowledge of cloud computing (cloud storage) - AWS / Azure / GCP
