About the role?
We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst to work within a small, busy IT department. Working from home, you will play a key role in delivering the full range of data analysis services, including (but not limited to):
Maintaining Power BI datasets, dashboards and reports
Supporting the import and export of data across systems
Researching and developing new ways of making use of data
Proactively analysing data to answer key questions from stakeholders or from your own observations with an eye for what drives performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity
Creating and maintaining rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis; integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources
Delivery of training to end users on how to understand and interrogate standard reports and dashboards
Helping users understand the utility of data, the need for good record keeping, and the impact of poor-quality data input
Explaining to the users, the data available if the system is utilised fully and how it can help them in their decision making processes
About you
It is essential that you have a minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a data analysis role and desirably will have either Power BI certification or a Maths, Statistics or Computer Science Degree.
You must have experience of working with data models, reporting packages, and data visualisation tools. Desirably you will have experience of working with Salesforce as either a user or administrator.
You must also be confident in working on your own initiative, have a logical and analytical approach to problem solving, be pro-active where you can see a need that will support the business objectives and have great attention to detail.
How will you make a difference?
You will be responsible for helping in the development, provision and availability of up-to-date data for utilisation in the organisations decision making processes. Helping to identify trends and opportunities through analysis of data sets.
You will support the wider organisation by developing, implementing, and maintaining analytic systems and building end user friendly outputs. Creating best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis and visualisations.
You will work resourcefully and collaboratively with people across the organisation to assist the wider organisation, fostering a learning culture where all views are respected.
