Job description

Who is Kamma?

Kamma is a Venture Capital backed tech company setting new standards in environmental property profiling. We work in the ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) and climate change spheres of property data to empower our partners to accelerate the transition to a carbon-zero world by leveraging cutting edge data and technology.

What is the role?

Having just closed a Series A round, we’re in the rapid scale up stage of our journey and have an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic Junior Data Analyst to join our team.

This position will play a key role in our product and innovation team. You will assist in understanding client requirements and translating them into actionable insights. You will work on creating visually appealing and easily understandable reports or dashboards that effectively communicate findings to the end-users, whether they’re internal or external. You will also provide support to clients, addressing questions or clarifications related to the analysis. This role has excellent opportunity for growth and career progression at the heart of a rapidly growing tech company.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborate with the product team to generate new product ideas based on customer feedback, and develop data-driven prototypes using SQL and Excel.
  • Make the prototypes built by other teams scalable and repeatable.
  • Deliver data analysis that supports internal customers, such as the marketing team with PR materials.
  • Prepare Excel or PowerPoint reports for customers from the data that you've compiled.
  • Attend customer meetings to present and answer questions on reports.

You should apply if you have these skills:

Technical:

  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel, with a strong understanding of formulas and data modelling techniques.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL, with understanding of fundamental database concepts and previous project experience a bonus.
  • Experience and comfort in MS Office, in particular PowerPoint.

Soft:

  • Highly organised, able to manage a work schedule over a year into the future covering all customer delivery requirements ensuring that 100% of deadlines are met.
  • Comfortable presenting data and decks to customers, either virtually or in person.
  • Able to work collaboratively with other teams to take new reports and data queries and make them scalable for delivery to the mass market.
  • Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment, with a knack for problem-solving and pattern recognition.
  • Open to asking questions for clarity and challenging both your own and your team's perspectives.
  • Enjoy the variety and sometimes chaos of contributing to a wide range of client projects unfolding simultaneously.
  • Understand the importance of delivering accurate, error-free work that will be used by financial institutions, C-suite decision-makers and for thought leadership and PR that is consumed by thousands of people.

We can only accept applicants that have the right to work in the UK and cannot sponsor visa applications.

What do we offer?

  • Salary of up to £35k dependent on experience
  • Hybrid working: our office is on the Strand open 7 days a week to all staff but you can work from anywhere that you can do your best work. You do need to be able to come into the office when needed and for team events.
  • Benefits: Pension, health insurance, charity days, book allowance, Central London office, home office budget, cycle to work scheme
  • A founding team who are passionate about what we do and are looking for inspiring people to join our journey
  • Huge ambitions to utilise and develop our data and technology capabilities to move into new areas and markets
