We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join the Reporting and Insight team within the Group Profit and Asset Protection department. Reporting to the Reporting and Insight Team Manager and playing a key role in analysing data, whilst delivering high standards of service.
We are seeking an organised and methodical individual who has strong attention to detail and has an interest in data processing and analysis. Ideally you will have an understanding of Microsoft office. You should have an analytical way of thinking with good communication skills. An understanding of SQL is advantageous, but not essential. Duties include processing data into the reporting systems and carrying out some analysis of transactions to spot trends and patterns. The role would ideally suit someone with an inquisitive mind or previous experience in statistics and analysis. The ideal candidate would be able to work independently as well as work collaboratively within the team. You will be mainly checking the integrity of data and information, your data management will involve collating and analysing, whilst supporting various internal and external parties with ad hoc requests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO;
- Inputting and retrieval of data into excel.
- Update existing reports.
- To upload excel files into database.
- To complete any ad-hoc tasks within your current levels of responsibility as directed by the department Manager and senior team.
- Monitor refund activity, using software provided, in order to establish authenticity of refunds carried out
- Monitor excessive discount and override use, investigating the causes and raise
cases for investigation as necessary
- To compile and report any suspicious circumstances for further investigation
- Maintain current incident reporting platform, creating new profiles, querying the data.
- Collating powerpoint presentations using existing formats for regular meetings.
