Junior Data Analyst
Shrewsbury - Remote
Salary: £23,000
Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30
As a Junior Data Analyst, you'll play a vital role in transforming raw data into actionable insights. Collaborating with our Software Developer team, you'll assist in creating and maintaining visual dashboards using Power BI while also learning to automate data workflows with Power Automate.
Your SQL skills will develop as you retrieve and manipulate data, supporting accurate reporting and contributing to data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in creating and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key insights.
· Utilise Power Automate to automate data processes and enhance operational efficiency.
· Writing SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data from diverse sources.
· Collaborate with the Business Intelligence & Automation Leader and the Software Development team to understand data requirements and contribute to analysis efforts.
· Support the development of data models that provide valuable insights for decision-making.
· Learn to identify trends and patterns in data, contributing to business strategies.
· Contribute to data quality checks and validation procedures to ensure accurate reporting.
· Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in data analysis and automation.
Requirements:
· Completed formal computer science education at level 3 or above in a field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
· Familiarity with Business intelligence platforms for creating visualizations and reports.
· Eagerness to learn and apply Power Automate for data workflows.
· Basic understanding of SQL and a willingness to learn and improve query skills.
· Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
· Effective communication skills for sharing insights and ideas.
· Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and reliable work.
· Passion for data analysis and a desire to grow in this field.
· Able to work quickly and effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· JSON, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, Power Fx, Python, R, M and DAX
*Whilst this role is remote you would be required to attend monthly meetings and therefore be based within a commutable distance
