Job description
We want conceptual thinkers with great copywriting and/or art direction skills who are excited about creating multi-platform advertising campaigns for major BBC brands. You will have the opportunity to write compelling pieces of short-form content inspired by the BBC’s marketing strategy.

Main Responsibilities
Although these are ‘junior’ roles, they are aimed at people with some experience. This is a step up from our entry-level Developing Creative (band B) roles.
Candidates must have proven experience of creating multi-media campaigns across a range of brands:
- Idea generation / conceptual thinking
- Copywriting and/or art direction
- Developing creative treatments
- Ability to create multi-media campaigns for all platforms
- Pitch/presentation skills
Applications will need to be accompanied by a body of work, which will be reviewed as part of the selection process.
Are you the right candidate?This role requires specific skills and experience, usually gained through working in the advertising industry or within the creative department of a media company. A broad understanding of marketing/branding principles is fundamental.

There are a number of different roles within this specialty in the BBC Creative team:
Developing Creative
An entry-level creative role. Developing Creatives must show significant creative potential and the aptitude to develop the necessary skills to progress to the next level. Developing Creatives will be mentored, trained and guided to enable them to develop the full range of creative and production skills needed to progress to a Junior Creative role.
Junior Creative
Junior Creatives must have the full range of necessary craft skills, and have the creative experience needed to tackle a range of projects. They must be able to work independently on many projects, but will be mentored and supported as needed where they work on more complex campaigns.
Creative (mid weight)
Fully skilled and experienced Creatives who are able to work on projects of any scale and are able to lead on high-profile complex campaigns. They are expected to mentor more junior creatives.
Senior Creative
Fully skilled Creatives who have significant experience on a broad range of projects and lead on high-profile complex campaigns. Senior Creatives are also leaders who are expected to formally task manage or line manage team members and oversee and sign-off work; they will be involved with recruitment and will contribute to appraisals.
