Marathon Asset Management is a global credit manager with over $24 billion in assets under management. Our Capital Solutions platform specializes in designing bespoke private credit transactions to high-quality companies in transition and seeks to invest $50 million to $250 million per transaction. We provide partnership capital to sponsors and management teams primarily in the form of senior secured unitranche loans, junior lien debt, mezzanine debt, convertible bonds and preferred equity. Our team has a demonstrated track record of providing fast, flexible and creative financing solutions to help companies address near-term needs and position for long-term growth. We currently have a need for a Junior Corporate Credit Analyst. The individual will be an integral part of the Opportunistic Corporate Credit investment team in London.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse high yield, loan and secondary corporate credit opportunities
- Support senior analysts in company analysis and assist in idea generation for our opportunistic credit fund
- Build and maintain valuation models using the team’s proprietary model to identify valuation sensitivities
- Analyse financial statements, research company management, listen to earnings calls, and attend meetings and industry conferences with management/IR team
- Required edcuation: BA or BSc degree
- Required experience: 2-5 years of investment banking, buy-side, leveraged finance or advisory experience
- Experience in financial statement analysis, good understanding of how to read company financial reports, credit documentation experience a plus
- Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills, plus good oral and written communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Highly motivated, disciplined, responsible personality with attention to detail, high energy level and strong work ethic
