Junior Content Writer

POSITION:
We’re looking for a creative content writer to join our growing marketing team. You’ll be working in-house for multiple companies, working across a business portfolio providing software and services to sports clubs, leisure attractions, event organisers and hospitals & laboratories. You’ll have the variety that comes with working for an agency but gain insight and experience of each business as you'll form part of their teams.
This role would suit someone in the early stages of their marketing career. You may be freelancing or working for an agency and want to move in-house. The most important requirement is a flair for the written word and an eagerness to learn and grow.
You will have a passion for creating compelling content that promotes our brands, products, and services.
This is a hybrid role with part of your week being at our offices in Howbery Park, Wallingford.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
You should be an excellent writer who is always connected to our sales and marketing efforts to ensure lead generation, brand awareness and thought leadership. Typical responsibilities include:
Content creation:
Researching and creating copy for marketing material that promotes our products and services. This could include blog posts, website, social media, brochures, video, user guides, email etc.
Monitoring and improving SEO through content, using tools such as Surfer and Wincher.
Developing an understanding of our customer groups and our markets.
Conducting marketing research to help inform the content roadmap.
Keeping promotional materials up to date and getting client testimonials from existing customers.
Working with businesses and their clients to produce press releases and case studies.
Other responsibilities include:
Utilising outreach and guest posting for improving SEO.
Liaise with other departments within the organisations to ensure effective implementation of marketing activities.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
A strength for writing both brief and in-depth content. Content samples required to show writing skills
Self-motivated initiative taker
Desirable:
Knowledge of SEO
B2B marketing experience or experience gained in a similar role
