About Our Client: A well-established business who provide safety access solutions to some of the most iconic buildings and structures in the UK.
Due to the company’s continued success and growth, they are recruiting an enthusiastic Design Technician to their fall protection team located in Grantham.
My client designs, installs and develops fall protection solutions and access equipment across the UK and has an impressive portfolio of iconic projects such as Wembley Stadium, Crossrail and Liverpool Cathedral.
The Design Technician will work in a highly professional design team for my client’s customers, who include universities, estates, care homes, public spaces and the Armed Forces.

What will you be doing day to day.
- Designing layouts for fall protection installations
- Assisting in planning permanent fall protection installations
- Providing drawings, technical data, technical reports and inspection reports
- Assisting on occasional site surveys
- Maintaining and updating database of 2D drawings and technical data
- Liaising and providing information to architects and design/project managers
- Taking control of individual projects and see them through to completion
Who we are looking for
- Qualification requirements – min. HNC or HND Level in mechanical or structural engineering
- Knowledge of 2D CAD tools (AutoCAD LT)
- Confident working at height
- Valid Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent IT skills and a familiarity with Microsoft software
- A keen interest in technology and providing innovative solutions
- Extremely high attention to detail
