Job description

Are you passionate about how finance and data can be used to support effective plans, provide valuable insights, and drive impactful decision making at the nation's largest animal welfare charity?
We have two exciting opportunities for part-qualified or qualified Accountants, or those qualified by substantial appropriate experience, to join our new Financial Analysis team, sitting within the wider Financial Planning and Analysis department. You'll have the opportunity to make an impact in a newly established team in a supportive and flexible environment. The department is currently going through an exciting period of development, looking at bringing a new organisation-wide tool in to aid with analysis and decision making, and these roles have an opportunity to be part of that growth.
As a Finance Analyst you'll help our stakeholders and Business Partners make sense of financial data through analysis, facilitating effective decision making and planning. You'll also support stakeholders by providing up to date budgets and forecasts in line with accounting standards and organisational procedures, ensuring they are accessible to non-finance users.
What we are looking for in you
- Strong analytical skills and experience of data analysis to assist decision making.
- Experience of assisting or supporting stakeholders in budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Able to take a collaborative and user-centred friendly approach to supporting multiple stakeholders and solving problems.
- Part-qualified or qualified Accountant (CCAB/CIMA/ACCA). We would also encourage candidates without formal qualifications to apply where their experience fits the requirements of the role. If you are unsure if your qualifications or experience are suitable, please contact us at [email protected].
It is not essential you have the following experience, but it would be a plus!
- Experience in or utilising multi-dimensional analysis and modelling systems.
- Financial reporting via dashboards such as Tableau/PowerBI.
