This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Business Analyst to join our innovative Discovery & Automation function here at L&G.
We are a highly motivated team delivering excellence in everything we do – from working on change transformation projects and large programmes – to robotic process automation and artificial intelligence – to discovering and re-engineering our business to drive better decisions, ideas, and outcomes.
You will help us to deliver quality analysis, automation, and transformation services to our internal customers - Group Functions (HR, Brand, Tax, IT, Treasury Risk & Compliance) and Group Finance, whilst working collaboratively with global external partners and suppliers. This will be delivered as part of a partnership we have with a big 4 accounting & consulting firm. This means that you will benefit from working with both L&G business leaders and experts as well as senior consulting resources who will help to upskill you in transformational best practices and thinking.

What you'll be doing- Conducting business analysis tasks under the supervision of a Senior Business Analyst as required
- Contributing analysis planning and monitoring activities including the definition of roles & responsibilities of stakeholders, development of estimates for analysis activity and planning of own interaction with stakeholders
- Supporting in the approach for requirements development, traceability, prioritisation, the deliverables that should be produced and the metrics that will be used to monitor progress.
- Identifying, evaluating, and raising change risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies that may impact project deliverables and proposing mitigating actions where appropriate.
- Contributing to the assessment of complexity and uncertainty and providing inputs as required under the guidance of a Senior Business Analyst
- Maintaining a record of activities required and becoming proficient in the tools and techniques described within the BABOK and the Agile Extension to the BABOK Guide, to be able to achieve the IIBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis, which is a requirement of all Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts
- Knowledge or experience of Enterprise analysis is preferable
- Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring experience
- Experience of requirements analysis
- Experience of requirements management and communication
- Solution assessment and validation experience
