As part of our graduate programme, known internally as our Emerging Talent programme we are excited to recruit a Junior Audit Data Analyst.
As our Junior Audit Data Analyst you'll support with the data work surrounding internal audit. The two-year programme will support you to develop the core skills, behaviours and technical ability to develop into a Data Analyst with a strong understanding of the audit sector.
Whilst you'll be at the start of your career you'll have a good understanding of the basic skills of data extraction and manipulation. From conducting data analytics testing, your role will directly link to the auditing of other functions across Places for People. These tests would focus on identifying risk, potential weaknesses and gaining assurance over the our data.
You'll work closely with our Senior Audit Data Analyst to develop your data skills and benefit from formal training as well as on the job learning.
This is the ideal role for a data enthusiast, looking to create opportunities for continuous improvement acting as a champion of changes as we develop new and innovative solutions.
This is a hybrid role with an expectation the successful candidate will be office based two -three days a week. For more information, please download our job profile available on our website.
More about you
You'll be educated to a graduate-level with a degree within a related specialism such as Data Science, Analytics or similar.
Your role will see you embedded in an audit environment, developing your skills to become the in-house data expert. You'll have an inquisitive mind and be looking for a role that allows you to manipulate, analyse and present data. With diversity across our internal and external customer groups you'll analyse complex topics from different perspectives presenting back technical issues to those without your expertise.
You'll be supported to develop the mindset of an auditor however to succeed it's essential you have a risk focussed approach. Asking the question “what could go wrong?” And then looking at innovative solutions to problem-solving.
This role requires you to have a good understanding of data. Candidates will be expected at interview to demonstrate advanced Excel skills as these are essential to success in the role. Candidates with the knowledge to manipulate and extract data from database platforms such as MY SQL, SharePoint, Microsoft Sequel or Oracle would be deemed highly desirable.
