THE ROLE

We are recruiting for a Junior Architectural Technician to be based within our team, who are currently hybrid working between our Head Office in Wellingore Hall just outside of Lincoln and home.

Junior Architectural Technicians are responsible for assisting the Senior Architects to produce models and drawings for complex architectural projects. Working against tight deadlines and devising technically brilliant and safe solutions to problems will be a day-to-day activity that will lead to development of a broad knowledge and skill in architecture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Within this role your responsibilities will include:

• Design and draft assignments under little supervision, creating and developing both 2D and 3D models and working drawings from sketches or descriptions developed by Engineers
• 3D models and 3D components need to be complete with metadata, as per BIM processes
• Maintain all revisions of project drawings
• Revise and update models/drawings as required
• Assist in team design reviews in order to evaluate design concepts and make recommendations to resolve problems
• Work with other teams to obtain information for drawings
• Work with project teams to execute projects on time and on budget
• Read and understand 2D and 3D drawings
• Comply with company design, safety, quality, environmental compliance and procedural standards

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• HNC in construction or similar level qualification
• A good understanding of AutoCAD and other design software would be advantageous
• Knowledge of the construction industry and basic building regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Eager to learn and progress in a career in Architecture
