Our team is looking for someone excited to undertake all aspects of Application Packaging from initial discovery and assessment, through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to final deployment in a secure environment.

What you'll be doing:
- Package and distribute Application packages in response to requirements with assistance when required for complex applications
- Publish packages into MECM, configure applications, create deployments, collections and distribute across the estate
- Document all steps taken to create Application Packages mentioning any caveats in the form of Recipes
- Software integration and compatibility testing of all packages created
- Ensuring that packaged products meet client set requirements and specifications
- Carry out troubleshooting/fault resolution where required. OS, MECM as well as the application itself
- Managing UAT requirements with the Senior user
- Uplift packages to higher classification networks when required
- Be in charge of Application Packaging request tickets with weekly updates
- Writing, reviewing and maintaining the Teams processes and procedures
- Provide cover for CAPS coordinator.
- Suggest improvements and innovations (CSI&I) that could assist with the introduction of efficiencies into the environment.
- Provide support for Incident resolution or Problem investigation activities.
- Work with business and security frameworks (ITIL, JSP, IMN).
What you’ll bring:
- VSphere & VMWare Workstation
- Experience with Application sequencing
- App-v (v5) Packaging and Troubleshooting
- MSI Packaging and Troubleshooting, MSI / MST Tailoring
- MECM (console/client) administration
- Software distribution and OS development and silent installation techniques and trouble shooting.
