Job Overview- Junior Analyst
They are now looking for a dynamic, friendly and intelligent individual who is seeking an exciting opportunity to advance their career in structure finance. In this Analyst role you will be working directly with the CEO. You will be involved in building bespoke financial models, managing existing models, creating reports, analysing data and providing advice on key financial decisions. This role offers excellent growth opportunities, a great fit for a graduate or early career professional with 1-2 years’ experience in financial services.
The candidate will be expected to provide high quality robust analysis and insight - to clearly communicate complex financial analysis to internal stakeholders and external clients.
Job responsibilities- Junior Analyst
In this Junior Analyst role you will be involved in:
Research
- Preparing client presentations including recent transaction research, market/sector research, financial analysis, and key conclusions
- Conducting analysis of lenders and their asset portfolios, research and due diligence on potential transactions
- Collaborating with other members of the team on business development and identifying potential opportunities
- Financial modelling and review of business opportunities
- Modelling asset cash flows for loan portfolios
- Modelling liability cash flows reflecting various funding structures
- Transaction due diligence and execution, to include pricing and term negotiation, financial modelling and review of legal documentation
- Due diligence on potential acquisitions, producing deal business plans, and assisting with the execution of the transaction
- Managing external advisors (e.g. lawyers), clients and counterparties
- A university degree achieving a 2.1 or above (preferably in an economics, maths, physics, engineering or other numerate discipline)
- 1-2 years of relevant financial services experience
- Previous experience in Securitisation, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Transaction Services or Capital Markets would be preferred
- Strong analytical skills and experience with building financial models
- Proficiency in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Financially numerate and ability to work with numbers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Sumifs, Arrays, VBA, index match etc)
