We are now recruiting for a Junior Aircraft Technician to join our growing and experienced team at Lee-on-the-Solent.

Primary Tasks

Main tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Carry out aircraft maintenance, inspection and repair of mechanical systems and structures either at home base or deployed
  • Carry out the embodiment of aircraft mechanical modifications in accordance with approved data.
  • Carry out fault finding of defects, rectifying defects as found in accordance with Aircraft Maintenance Manual
  • Undertake and successfully pass appropriate training

Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs including English & Maths at Grade C or above
  • A City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent apprenticeship would be highly desirable.

Experience (desirable but not essential)

  • Experience in embodying aircraft modifications and carrying out aircraft maintenance
  • Sheet Metal working experience
  • Experience working in an environment which required problem-solving and innovative thinking.
