Elutions is a rapidly growing Artificial Intelligence company, headquartered in Tampa, FL, with consistent growth in excess of 150%. To help facilitate our continued growth and success, we are looking to hire an experienced Junior Accountant that will oversee all UK & European operations, and report to the Group Finance Director.
The successful candidate will be a hard worker with an attention for detail. This person will be responsible for administration of the accounting operations of the company and must be prepared to work past the normal hours of business, due to global operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monthly revenue accounting for UK, Ireland, Switzerland and US entities, managing the related deferrals and ensuring timely and accurate revenue recognition within Group accounts each month
- Manage UK, Ireland, Switzerland and US sales order processing and production of invoices in an accurately and timely manner, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations
- Active collection activity of due AR invoices across UK, Ireland, Switzerland and US entities
- Monthly cost accounting, this will include the accruals, prepayments, fixed assets depreciation and intercompany charges relating to all UK, Ireland and Switzerland entities to ensure accuracy and timeliness in completion of the accounts each month
- Management of the UK, Ireland and Switzerland Month End ledger close process
- Recording bank transactions and preparation of Bank Reconciliations (including Credit Card reconciliations) on a weekly basis and finalising by Day +1 of the accounting month end timetable, for review and approval with the Senior Accountant
- Update of Daily Cash report and weekly cashflow forecasts, presenting to Senior Accounant for review
- Monthly reconciliation of Group Intercompany accounts, confirming balances between entities and analyzing movements
- Analysis and reconciliation of Inventory movements each month
- To prepare and reconcile UK, Ireland and Switzerland entity sales tax returns on a monthly basis to ensure accurate returns
- Preparation of Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations for UK, Ireland, Switzerland and US entities including Fixed Assets, Debtors, Prepaids, Inventory, Creditors, Accruals and Taxes, tracking and explaining monthly movements.
- To review, confirm and gain approval for all payments of UK, Ireland, Switzerland and US Supplier invoices
- To assist in audit preparation for all UK, Ireland, Switzerland and US entities within the Group
- To prepare the monthly payroll for submission to the UK Payroll Bureau’s ensuring that all fixed and variable elements of the payroll are processed accurately
- To identify opportunities to improve processes to maximise efficiency and accuracy and reduce risk.
- Assist in accounts production throughout the Group
- Additional projects as assigned by the Senior Accountant
Qualifications
- Must be able to work independently and manage own deliverables/timelines.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of financial and management accounting
- Part Qualified (preferably CIMA or ACCA qualification)
- Quickbooks experience is a must
- Experience of Sage Accounting is preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Sumif)
- Proactive and participative team player
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong data collection / problem solving skills
- Able to work to strict deadlines
- Good analytical skills
