Project Manager (Engineering) / Project Engineer

Location – Hunslet, Leeds (On-Site)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Facultatieve Technology an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) that is enjoying a period of growth and expansion. We’re looking to add a further 2 Project Engineers / Engineering Project Managers to our growing business. These are ideal opportunities for recent graduates (preferably 2+ year working experience) that might be looking for a company to support their personal development and provide a great working environment in which to build a career.

You will be joining a lively team of 6 who would provide you with a warm welcome and all support required. The role is a balance of travelling to customer premises (including overseas travel) and spending time at our offices on the outskirts of Leeds (Easy access via M1 / M62 / A1).

Working closely with our Sales / Commissioning and Support teams you will take ownership and project manage the installation and upgrades of our machinery globally.

Taking the lead from the point of Sale through to the final walk through and sign off. This includes the initial site survey to identify any specifics relating to the on-site build and installation, liaising with internal departments (Production / Installation / Purchasing / Customer care), direct customer contact (face to face and written) and working with a variety of sub-contractors.

Typically our project managers will have ownership of between 6 & 8 projects with a total estimated value of upto £6m. Each project length will vary, however some of these will take 12 month.

Duties include:

  • Provide installation and commissioning programmes.
  • Create overall programmes as required for sales forecasting, contract management, labour demands, and company management.
  • Accurate monitoring and programming information to assist contract management.
  • Liase with contract management, other departments, subcontractors, and suppliers to establish co-ordinated working programmes.
  • Negotiate and justify critical contractual dates.
  • Make available the latest computer assisted techniques in project management and control.
  • Promote the company image for professional planning and management control through the quality of presentation and level of detail.
  • To be available for progress and monitoring studies of projects in progress.
  • Assist in the formulation of a company standard for project planning.

Required skills / Experience:

  • Microsoft office experience including word, excel and project.
  • Experience in working with engineering drawings.
  • The ability to work within budgets and to deadlines.
  • Great organisational skills
  • Confident decision-making ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prince II qualified or working towards would be advantageous
