Do you want the opportunity to interview your favourite TV celebrities and write for one of the biggest magazine brands in the UK? Then it’s time to join the OK! Online & Magazines team as our new TV Reporter!
This is a fantastic opportunity to source and write engaging stories on all things TV. From breaking TV news, soap spoilers and real life documentaries to TV secrets and backstage gossip.
We’re looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives from people from a wide range of backgrounds, and we want you to tell us the stories you believe are important from our many communities so we can continue to diversify our content.
This role is home based however due to the nature of the role, you will need to be based in London.
What will the role involve?
You will write exciting TV news content for OK! Online, from interviewing celebrities to covering live shows, you will always be on the pulse of the latest TV news. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills to write and see your name in print for our print magazines. You will develop and pitch fresh and engaging ideas for TV content, whilst keeping brand and audience in mind at all times.
You will have the opportunity to attend exciting events on behalf of OK! including covering red carpet TV events in and around London. You will utilise social media platforms to further drive traffic to your content and you will continue to add to your already enviable industry contacts book. This position will involve weekend/evening working so a flexible approach is required.
Who are we looking for?
You are an NCTJ qualified journalist or equivalent with media law knowledge and a passion for all things TV and celebrity news. You have a proven track record of scooping exclusive TV or showbiz stories and working within a fast paced digital newsroom or magazine environment. You have exceptional writing skills and you are a pro when it comes to interviewing high profile celebrities.
You have an enviable contact book of celebrities, PRs and agents that you can use to develop exciting stories and secure exclusives. You understand how to utilise social media to drive traffic and have an in-depth understanding of OK!’s audience. You have experience publishing stories at pace and meeting deadlines with ease.
