**This is a freelance, REMOTE position.**


The editorial team at Valnet Inc. is looking for a Game Industry Interview Reporter to contribute to our affiliate site, GameRant.com.


We’re looking for someone who can help Game Rant field interview opportunities with game developers across the games industry. This person should be motivated to produce interesting interview questions that generate discussion in the industry.


If you share a passion for video games, a love of writing, and a willingness to learn, then you’ve come to the right spot!


Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for writers who can:

  • Contribute a minimum of 4 interview articles per month + 3 related feature articles for each (for a total of 12 articles per month).
  • Seeking out and holding interviews with esteemed developers and others inside the gaming industry (Game Rant will provide some contacts),
  • Editing and publishing these interviews, as well as feature articles based on them.
  • Helping to generate feature topics based on interview material.
  • Paying high attention to detail for spelling, grammar, image quality, fact-checking and sourcing
  • Working under tight deadlines and submitting tasks on time
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to produce exquisite content.
  • Ability to maintain a contracted freelance schedule.

  • Please provide 2-3 samples of previously written work covering video games.


Applicants must be highly motivated and possess the following requirements:

  • Relevant experience in writing.
  • Broad knowledge of gaming history and culture.
  • A solid grasp of the English language and the ability to communicate niche ideas to a wide audience.
  • Ability to source information/news from different websites.
  • Experience in SEO practices.
  • Availability to meet the required article quota.
