Job description
Estates at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint a candidate to the post of Joiner.
The successful candidate will provide an effective and efficient installation, maintenance and repair service on all building fabric, joinery, furniture and fixtures within the University.
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate you have:
- Relevant academic vocational qualification in a wood occupation (carpentry/joinery) e.g. NVQ 2 (or equivalent) Or time served joiner.
- Substantial recent relevant post apprenticeship carpentry/joinery experience in maintaining building fabric, furniture and fixtures in a similar environment to the University.
- Practical working knowledge of building trade.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant building and maintenance systems, equipment and processes.
