Job Description
-The role of the Jewellery costing and standards administrator is to ensure De Beers Jewellers has a complete and fully up to date database of materials and information for all it’s products.
- To assist in the dual sourcing of core products.
- To measure and monitor the findings collection by category, manufacturer and price.
- Analyse and accurately capture production data to allow labour rates to be monitored and managed.
- Assist the process for onboarding new suppliers, ensuring they have a complete understanding of all DBJ’s requirements, including liaising with appropriate teams for Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and Best Practice Principle (BPP) certification. Work with QC team to ensure they are onboarded and able to deliver products to the cost and quality required to meet the business timescales.
Capture technical costing data of the Finished Products
- Meticulous Input data and product information in the Technical sheets and SAP
- Update the Archive the Confirmation of those sheets with the Vendor
- Data input of the full lists all tools provided for the manufacturing of the Finished Products
- Take photographs of jewellery after training
- Collect all CAD files, tech drawings, register its production timesheets etc used for the product definition and maintain the data base to keep these files up to date
- Reference creating and order raising in SAP
Double sourcing including new supplier onboarding
- Assist with the Onboarding of new suppliers, including vendor set up on SAP
- Assist in the tracking of the dual sourcing process
- Ensure the KPIs and tracking data of the vendor is updated.
- Ensure all documentations / processes are captured in the QC / Tech definition to have smooth transitions between suppliers.
- Help manage the Double Sourcing of key products and liaise technically with QC and with supply Planning regarding key products and suppliers
Assist the Quality Control Team
- Maintain and Update the BOM on each Collection and creation (new ones and replenishment) on SAP/systems
- Assist in any QC if needed
- Build and maintain the data base of all manufacturing prices
- Qualifications
-Intermediate/Advanced Excel and SAP experience or similar systems. - Meticulous Attention to detail is a necessity for the data input in this role.
- Worked in a assisting production or supply chain function
- A knowledge of the jewellery industry and/or manufacturing processes would be beneficial
- Any experience with Jewellery Photography would be a plus
- Fluent spoken and written English
