What you will be doing...
Our Jet2holidays Legal Claims Team Leader will effectively manage and lead the Legal Claims Executives team and handle escalated tasks relating to Jet2holidays injury and illness claims, to minimise cost to the business. Providing support to GM – Regulatory & Litigation, Legal Services Manager and Legal Reclaims Team Leader on a daily basis.
What will you do in the role?
- Read, assess and make decisions on escalated claims, as a direct supporting function to the GM – Regulatory & Litigation and Legal Director
- Investigate costs incurred by the business to see if contributions can be made from external parties where they are at fault
- Conducting & implementing a regular audit programme on the Legal Claims team to ensure process is being followed, errors rectified, to understand gaps in knowledge & ascertain any team training requirements
- Liaise with internal teams and third-party suppliers for the purpose of general claims management
- Closely work with the company’s brokers, insurers and their loss adjusters in respect of claims management
- Reporting of regular data in respect of Jet2holidays Legal Claims to various business areas.
- Reporting on claims progress to contractors and agents alike, as well to Hotel’s insurers and lawyers, as required
- Dealing with any serious notifications we receive (legionnaires/outbreaks) and liaising with relevant business areas, such as Risk & Safety, Operations, Insurers and External Lawyers
What are the key skills/experience you’ll already have?
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A team player as well as the ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Flexible & Adaptable
- Excellent Attention to detail
- Positive ‘can do’ attitude
- ABTA experience, preferably in a customer service or operational capacity, or claims handling is desirable
