The marketing team are responsible for generating modern, fresh and culturally relevant omni channel marketing ideas. Bringing campaigns to life from conception to reality. Whether it be large scale global campaigns, the biggest celebrity collaborations or new store activations, the departments main priority is to create ideas through messaging, imagery and motion.

We're looking for creative minded graduates to join our inhouse team on one of the below rotation programmes:

Rotation Programme 1: Social, Influencer and Third-Party Brand teams.

Rotation Programme 2: Campaign, Retail Marketing and Sponsorships & Partnerships teams.

The successful candidates will be selected for one of the above JD Marketing programme rotations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

If you are selected for the 1st rotation programme, your rotations will be across the below 3 areas - Social, Influencer and Third-Party Brand teams:

The Social Team

Remaining firm footed in the world of social media by building a strong brand awareness and an engaged community across all social channels is the number one priority for the team. Delivering well-targeted content designed to appeal to our audience and utilising the brands power and products to connect with our audience and build interactions in the realms of fashion, sport, football, fitness and music.

JD Sports operates on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, boasting 2.1M Instagram followers, 3.1M fans on Facebook and 708 YouTube videos resulting in 44.5k subscribers.

Delivering authentic, bold, innovative social campaigns that have a blend of creative content, community management and data to ensure organic growth.

The Influencer Team

The Influencer and Talent Marketing team are responsible for delivering engaging Influencer and Talent campaigns – for JD UK – by working with talents in our key pillars such as music, sports, gaming and fashion. In using Influencers and Talents (such as Chunkz) we are able to elevate marketing campaigns with familiar faces and ensure these have maximum impact. The team are responsible for ensuring JD are working with the most relevant, exciting and diverse creators to allow us to stay ahead of the game. We work closely with all key marketing teams such as Third-Party Brand, Social and Retail.

Third-Party Brands Team

The Third-Party Brand team are responsible for delivering impactful and engaging 360 campaigns via our Partner Brands such as Nike, adidas, The North Face and Puma. Our role, to maximise consumer connection, relevance, and resonance for JD. The team are responsible for managing brand and commercial marketing across the full JD eco system aligning to the business strategic vision. We create rich story telling from a product perspective utilising the third partner brands positioning and enhancing the perception of JD. The objective is to optimise JD relevance and performance to secure partner and destination of choice status.

If you are selected for the 2nd rotation programme, your rotations will be across the below 3 areas - Campaign, Retail Marketing and Sponsorships & Partnerships teams:

Main Campaign Team

The Main Campaign team use insight and input from key stakeholders across the business to define and refine the creative briefs for JD's global marketing campaigns. Taking big creative ideas and working with business leads to craft impactful roll out plans. Whilst aligning with the business on key objectives and KPIs, to allow performance measurement and reflection.

Our dynamic campaign team manage the shoots and oversee all creative output with established production partners. Working closely with our internal studios, overseeing the delivery of all video content and POS for stores globally, as well as supporting outdoor media. Running multiple campaigns at various points of completion. Timing and communication are key to the success of the campaign

Retail Marketing Campaign

The Retail Marketing team are responsible for driving the performance of UK and Republic of Ireland JD stores. Defining the strategy and coordinating the marketing plans to ensure awareness and success of new store openings and store activations, as well as driving any tactical/seasonal activity and supporting local marketing opportunities. Working closely with various functions across the JD business including Retail, Operations, Merchandising, Property, VM, Social, Digital and Sports Marketing, the Retail Marketing team play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities to grow the UK & ROI business and continually strive to build and optimise campaign on campaign through analysis of results.

The Partnerships Team

The Partnerships team are responsible for augmenting JD's Partnerships across Sports, eSports, Lifestyle & Music. Working with a range of partners the team are tasked with elevating all contracted marketing rights to support JD's growth globally and help support the overall marketing strategy. Partnership rights are constructed to maximise JD brand visibility, with large media exposure, and create opportunities for the partnerships to connect and engage with JD consumers. The team must also stay fully up to date with all other JD activity, including main campaigns and brand activity, to ensure relevant product representation and opportunities to collaborate with brand partners where relevant.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Planning and Coordination of all assigned Marketing tasks. Project scope may include but is not limited to integrated omnichannel campaigns, photoshoots, events, calendar planning and management of product samples.
  • Working closely with internal departments across JD to create omnichannel campaigns and communications
  • Working x-functionally with internal stakeholders and be responsible to develop excellent working relationships with all stakeholders, partners & market/regional teams.
  • Understand the JD consumer in our key markets, know what is relevant to them in product and culture.
  • Bring & share ideas with the team to enrich projects (including research, mood boards etc)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Ideal qualifications/degrees (minimum grade 2.1):

  • Relevant Marketing degree
  • Mac/PC literate; good working knowledge of excel, word, keynote/ppt
  • Solutions-orientated with proven ability to use initiative to attain swift successful outcomes
