Position:
Morgan Stanley's analytics platform is offered to Fund Services, Prime brokerage and Wealth management clients. The platform computes the performance on a given set of investments and provides rich reporting capabilities to the end users. It supports over 300 different types of calculations including Time weighed returns, Internal rate of return, Beta, Sharpe Ratio, performance attribution, long short analysis and much more. This is a real-time platform that requires fast calculations, efficient memory management and a highly scalable architecture.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to join a global development team that is predominately based in London. You will work closely, as part of a highly collaborative and high performing Agile team, to rebuild and deliver a core part of the Analytics platform to run on public cloud.
You must have
Bachelor / Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 2 years of experience with Java development
You might have:
Working knowledge of Spring Boot Java-based framework
Experience Agile Scrum teams operate and contribute
A familiarity with collaborative design and planning session to solve complex problems
An understanding of how to ensure high code quality and clean code
You will gain:
A greater depth of technical skills, particularly Java
Knowledge about public cloud, particularly Azure, gaining exposure to Terraform and Github Actions
Understanding and implementation of cloud native technologies and designs
Understanding of data structures, caching, design patterns, multi-threaded and high- performance architecture
