BASIC FUNCTION
In accordance with written or oral instructions, is responsible for the cleanliness and general appearance of an assigned area. Responsible for carrying out sanitation procedures as scheduled.
DETAILED DUTIES
1. Must be able to follow directions of Sanitation Procedure Manual and maintain sanitation records.
2. Must be able to train and perform back up duties on a higher grade job, i.e. production service operator.
3. Dusts, sweeps and/or wet mops, and vacuum floors, ledges, ceiling structures, etc. (Including offices and conference room) as per sanitation procedures and maintains daily log.
4. Washes walls, piping, hoses, motors, outside tanks, windows, sinks, tables, wash pits, scales, benches, etc., often using a high pressure washer in the G.P. area as per sanitation procedure and maintains daily log.
5. Flushes UV units and eye wash stations and log dates, etc. daily, reporting any abnormalities to supervisor.
6. Cleans up any emergency spills.
7. Collects and delivers refuse (waste glass, metal, paper containers, etc.) to compactor as required.
8. Sanitizes floor drains and logs dates.
9. Washes dispensing rooms between products and logs dates and solutions used.
10. Every Monday, must set clocks to synchronize them.
11. Must do quarterly clean up and record in log book.
12. Stores all cleaning utensils/tools in specified areas for proper sanitation.
13. Changes filters in all processing rooms as required.
14. Cleans in-house vacuum collection bins and disposes of waste material. General cleaning of lines and equipment at completion of line operation.
15. Delivers paper towels, soap, hand lotion, etc. to each washup area throughout the department.
16. Responsible for inventory of sanitation supplies – cleaning agents, mops, waxes, polishes, etc.
17. Washes floors and strip and was as required.
18. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Secondary diploma or equivalent
