- Term Time plus 4 weeks
We are looking for an efficient, reliable and trustworthy person who takes pride in their work in ensuring that The Belfry School, Overstrand is a clean, safe and secure environment for our children and staff.
Working time is 10 hours per week, term time, 3.15 to 5.15 p.m., week days.
Plus an additional 4 weeks (i.e. 40 hours in total, spread out during the school holidays, e.g. for deep cleaning at the end of a school term. To be arranged with the other cleaner and caretaker).
Duties will be:
- To clean designated areas of the school to a high standard laid down by the school (e.g. vacuum carpets, mop hard floors, wipe tables and doors, dust, clean lavatories, etc.)
- To replenish washroom/sanitary materials (toilet paper, paper towels and soap)
- To keep cleaning equipment in a clean and working order
- Periodically clean store rooms in designated areas and report any problems to the caretaker or the school office.
- To advise the caretaker/office staff to replenish cleaning products/equipment
- Occasionally there may be a need to change the designated area to cover for sickness or absenteeism.
- To be fully aware and comply with instructions and procedures relating to Health and Safety at Work, and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
Our school is still new and is a pleasant working environment with a friendly team of supportive staff. You will work alongside one other cleaner, and liaise with the caretaker and office staff.
