Job description
We are looking for a Part Time Evening Cleaning Operative with experience working in a prestigious environment and maintaining high standards of cleaning to work in a site based in the University of Manchester - M15 6EX.
The site is based close to Manchester Royal Infirmary. nearest bus stop is Stop ID: MANGTMJD
You will be required to work 18:00pm - 21:00pm Monday to Friday. Additional Saturdays as and when required possible 9 weeks during the year during peak operational periods.
Duties to include working as part of a cleaning team, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning office areas, washrooms, kitchen areas and communal areas.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the site.
- Execute daily cleaning tasks with exceptional attention to detail, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming and sanitising various surfaces.
- Follow established cleaning protocols and use approved cleaning agents and equipment to achieve optimal results while preserving the site's integrity.
- Proactively identify areas that require special attention or additional cleaning and address them promptly.
- Handle and dispose of waste and hazardous materials in compliance with safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
- Ensure restrooms are consistently clean, well-stocked, and presentable, always maintaining an exceptional level of cleanliness.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, notifying management of any inventory shortages or equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to coordinate cleaning schedules and tasks, ensuring efficient and seamless operations.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and practices, promoting a safe and secure environment for staff and visitors.
- Uphold professional conduct and maintain a positive attitude while interacting with colleagues, clients, and visitors.
Rate of pay £11.00 per hour.
