Cleaner (Homecare)
Job Summary:
As a Cleaner in homecare, your primary responsibility is to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for individuals receiving homecare services. You will perform various cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the client's home. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently to meet the cleaning needs of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and wiping surfaces, to maintain cleanliness in all areas of the client's home.
2. Bathroom and Kitchen Cleaning: Clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures, countertops, sinks, toilets, showers, and kitchen appliances, ensuring they are free from germs and contaminants.
3. Floor Care: Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors as needed to maintain a clean and safe walking surface.
4. Dusting and Polishing: Dust and polish furniture, surfaces, window sills, and other fixtures to remove dust, dirt, and allergens.
5. Linen and Laundry: Change and make beds, launder linens, towels, and clothing, and ensure they are properly cleaned, folded, and stored.
6. Waste Management: Empty trash bins, properly dispose of waste, and maintain recycling practices as required.
7. Cleaning Supplies and Equipment: Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stocked, maintained, and used in accordance with safety guidelines.
8. Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of closets, cupboards, and storage areas, ensuring items are neatly arranged and easily accessible.
9. Communication: Communicate any concerns, maintenance issues, or changes in the home environment to the appropriate parties, such as the client or their family members.
10. Respect and Confidentiality: Respect client privacy, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Prior experience in professional cleaning or housekeeping is preferred.
2. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, including the use of cleaning agents and equipment.
3. Vulnerable Sector Police Check and
4. TB Test – Medical Report (within 6 months)
5. Valid First AID and CPR level C
6. Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
7. Time management skills to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
8. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may involve bending, lifting, and prolonged standing.
9. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
10. Reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanor.
11. Respect for client privacy and confidentiality.
12. Understanding and adherence to health and safety regulations.
13. Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules and client needs.

Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
