Nature & Scope:
Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Cleaning, the Cleaner will work as part of a team that will
consistently maintain a high level of cleanliness within the facility. The Cleaner will ensure that
members have a clean and safe facility to enjoy all that the YMCA of Eastern Ontario has to offer.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:

• Ensure that all assigned areas are cleaned as per established protocols, monitoring all areas by

walking throughout the facility regularly

• Enter the change rooms on a regular basis for ongoing cleaning and to keep the supplies

and equipment in good order

• Know, follow and promote all established procedures and safety standards
• Respond promptly to requests for cleaning services
• Perform pool chemistry tests and record readings
• Ensure good relations with YMCA staff, members, guests and the public
  

Qualifications:

• Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) including Vulnerable Sector Check completed not more than

120 days prior to date of hire, with results acceptable to the YMCA of Eastern Ontario

• Current Standard First Aid and CPR level “C”
